Abstract

The low mastery of English vocabulary causes the productive skills of elementary school students, especially writing and speaking, to not develop optimally. This study aims to analyze, evaluate, and develop E-flashcard learning media to improve productive skills in English vocabulary mastery of fifth grade students. This study is a research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The research subjects consisted of 18 fifth grade students as implementation subjects, four validators including two material experts and two media experts, one teacher as a practicality test subject, and 12 students who participated in the trial, consisting of three students in the individual test and nine students in the small group test. Data were collected through questionnaires and tests using validation sheet instruments, response questionnaires, and pretests and posttests. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis, qualitative descriptive analysis, and paired sample t-tests. The results showed that the E-flashcard media obtained a very good category in the validity and practicality tests and was proven to be effective in improving students' productive skills and English vocabulary mastery. It was concluded that e-flashcards are a suitable, practical, and effective digital learning medium for improving elementary school students' productive skills. The implications of this research suggest that integrating interactive digital media can support more innovative, engaging, and productive English learning.
