<![CDATA[Cognitive abilities and fine motor development are essential aspects of preschool children’s development. The PALAJI educational game is designed to improve these two aspects by stimulating children’s thinking abilities and hand-eye coordination through various play activities. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the PALAJI educational game on the cognitive abilities and fine motor development of preschool children aged 4–5 years at RA DWP Kota Jambi. This study employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group design. A total of 50 children participated in the study and were divided into intervention and control groups. Data were collected using observation sheets based on the Standards for the Achievement of Child Development (STPPA) as stipulated in Permendikbud No. 137 of 2014, and the data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. The results showed an improvement in cognitive abilities and fine motor development among the intervention group after receiving the PALAJI educational game. The p-value for cognitive abilities was 0.000, while the p-value for fine motor development was also 0.000 (p < 0.05). These results indicate a significant difference between the intervention and control groups. Therefore, the PALAJI educational game is effective in improving the cognitive abilities and fine motor development of preschool children aged 4–5 years at RA DWP Kota Jambi.]]>
