<![CDATA[The rapid development of digital technology has generated a complex global information landscape characterized by the proliferation of disinformation, misinformation, and content manipulation. In this context, information verification can no longer be adequately understood as merely a technical procedure; rather, it requires an epistemological framework capable of explaining how truth is constructed, examined, and justified. This study aims to reconstruct the concept of tabayyun in Hadith as an epistemology of information verification that is relevant to the contemporary digital era. Employing a qualitative method, this research adopts a thematic approach to Hadiths related to tabayyun. The analysis is conducted through stages of data inventory, thematic classification, and conceptual analysis to identify its underlying epistemological structure. The findings reveal that tabayyun is not merely a moral injunction but constitutes an epistemological system encompassing three primary dimensions: cognitive, methodological, and ethical. The cognitive dimension emphasizes critical awareness in evaluating information; the methodological dimension reflects systematic procedures of verification; while the ethical dimension underscores responsibility in the use and dissemination of information. These three dimensions form an integrated mechanism that positions tabayyun as a holistic and reflective model of information verification. This study thus contributes to shifting the understanding of tabayyun from a purely normative framework toward a more structured epistemological formulation. In the contemporary context, these findings offer an alternative to predominantly technocentric approaches to verification by asserting that the truth of information is determined not only by data accuracy but also by the integrity of the process and ethical responsibility.]]>
