Abstract

Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School received assistance in the form of a pen building and a goat fattening business mentoring program in 2021. The objectives of this study are 1) to describe the goat fattening process in accordance with the mentoring program at Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School, 2) to analyze the costs, revenues, and profits of the goat fattening business at Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School, 3) to analyze the financial feasibility and sensitivity of the goat fattening business at Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School. The method used in this study is a case study. The analytical methods used in this study are cost analysis, revenue, profit, as well as feasibility and sensitivity analysis of the business using investment criteria, namely NPV, IRR, Net B/C ratio, BEP and PBP. The results of the study (1) show that the goat fattening process that has been carried out includes; preparation of the pen, determination of goat stock, maintenance (feeding, health care, and pen sanitation), and harvesting. (2) The costs incurred during one year of production consist of fixed costs of Rp27,077,000 and variable costs of Rp222,606,000, resulting in a total cost of Rp231,246,000. The goat fattening business earned revenue of Rp258,323,000 and a profit of Rp60,317,000. (3) The results of the feasibility analysis of the goat fattening business at the Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School based on investment criteria obtained an NPV value of Rp272,325,005; IRR 30.90%; Net B/C 2.316; BEP 8.003; PBP 1.361. The results of the sensitivity analysis on investment criteria show that when the business experiences a 10% increase in production costs (Scenario 1) and a 10% decrease in prices (Scenario 2), the goat fattening business at the Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School remains feasible and is not sensitive to these changes. Keywords: financial feasibility, economic independence of Islamic boarding schools, goats.
