This study was motivated by the low understanding of fourth-grade elementary school students regarding the concept of area measurement, which was caused by teacher-centered learning and the limited use of interactive learning media. The study aimed to develop MathQuest learning media based on the problem-solving approach for teaching area measurement to fourth-grade elementary school students. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research was conducted from January to May 2026 at SD Negeri Mrican 3, Kediri City, involving 28 fourth-grade students as the research subjects. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The developed media were validated by subject matter and media experts, while their practicality and effectiveness were evaluated through teacher and student response questionnaires as well as learning achievement tests. The results indicated that the MathQuest learning media based on the problem-solving approach met the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective, making it suitable for mathematics learning on the topic of area measurement. The media also enhanced students' engagement in the learning process, facilitated their understanding of mathematical concepts, and helped them solve mathematical problems more systematically. Therefore, the MathQuest learning media based on the problem-solving approach can be used as an alternative instructional medium to support mathematics learning on the topic of area measurement for fourth-grade elementary school students. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar pada materi pengukuran luas akibat pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru dan minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran MathQuest berbasis problem solving pada materi pengukuran luas untuk siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari hingga Mei 2026 di SD Negeri Mrican 3 Kota Kediri dengan subjek sebanyak 28 siswa kelas IV. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes hasil belajar. Media yang dikembangkan divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, sedangkan kepraktisan dan keefektifan diukur melalui angket respons guru, respons siswa, dan tes hasil belajar.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran MathQuest berbasis problem solving memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif sehingga layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika pada materi pengukuran luas. Penggunaan media ini mampu mendukung keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, mempermudah pemahaman konsep, serta membantu siswa menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika secara lebih sistematis. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran MathQuest berbasis problem solving dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif sehingga layak digunakan untuk mendukung pembelajaran matematika pada materi pengukuran luas di kelas IV sekolah dasar.
