<![CDATA[Work-related stress is a prevalent psychological issue experienced by modern employees, including those working in public organizations. This study aims to identify the sources of occupational stress, its psychological impacts, and the manifestations of distress experienced by protocol staff at PT TASPEN (Persero). A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with participants selected through purposive random sampling, consisting of 6 to 8 employees with a minimum of two years of work experience. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, non-participatory observations, and document review, then analyzed using Braun and Clarke’s thematic analysis. The findings indicate that major sources of stress include high workload with precision standards, long and irregular working hours, pressure from supervisors and external guests, and poor work–life balance. Psychological impacts include emotional exhaustion, difficulty concentrating, and excessive anxiety, often leading to sleep disturbances. Manifested symptoms involve burnout, psychosomatic complaints such as headaches and digestive issues, and decreased work motivation due to feelings of underappreciation. This study highlights that work stress in protocol settings is not merely an individual issue but an organizational challenge that requires stress-management policies, psychological support, and fair performance recognition.]]>
