<![CDATA[Preparedness is a series of activities aimed at anticipating disasters through organization and effective and appropriate measures. Fire is one of the disasters that requires special attention and preventive efforts. One effort that can be undertaken is disaster management through preparedness measures for fire disasters. Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that are at risk of fire because various activities require equipment and materials to support the teaching and learning process, as well as potentially hazardous energy sources such as electricity, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and chemicals in laboratories. If not properly managed, these factors can increase the risk of fire. An educational approach can be one way to prepare individuals to face and respond to fire disasters. This study aimed to improve the preparedness of female students in responding to fire disasters through education at Dayah Ulumuddin Uteunkot Cunda Lhokseumawe. This study used a quasi-experimental design involving 145 respondents consisting of female students in grades X, XI, and XII, selected using simple random sampling. Preparedness was measured using a preparedness questionnaire administered before and after the educational intervention. The results showed that 59.3% of respondents had a moderate level of preparedness before the intervention, which increased to 86.2% with a good level of preparedness after the intervention. The Wilcoxon test showed a p-value < 0.05. In conclusion, education increased the preparedness of female students in responding to fire disasters.]]>
