Reading and writing literacy are fundamental competencies that need to be developed from the elementary school level because they serve as the foundation for understanding information, developing thinking skills, and communicating ideas. However, in practice, some students still experience difficulties in reading fluently, understanding reading content, identifying important information, determining main ideas, and expressing ideas in written form. This mentoring program aims to strengthen elementary school students' reading and writing literacy through structured and continuous assistance. The approach used was descriptive, with mentoring activities consisting of guided reading, reading comprehension exercises, identification of important information and main ideas, text-based question-and-answer activities, and writing exercises to develop and communicate students' ideas. Evaluation was conducted through observations of students' learning activities and comparisons of their abilities before and after participating in the mentoring program. The results showed positive changes in students' literacy abilities. Students demonstrated improvements in reading fluency, reading comprehension, identifying important information, determining main ideas, answering questions based on texts, and participating in writing activities. In addition, students became more active in reading, discussing, expressing their opinions, and completing assignments independently. Therefore, the mentoring program can serve as an effective strategy for strengthening elementary school students' reading and writing literacy while fostering more active and independent learning habits.
