<![CDATA[Rapid changes in technology, work organisation, and competency requirements require training and human resource development managers to continuously update and verify their professional capabilities. This professional community engagement activity aimed to describe and reflect on the participation of a postgraduate lecturer from Universitas PTIQ Jakarta in the Recognition of Current Competency assessment organised by LSP MSDM Kompetensi Indonesia. A participatory-reflective approach with a descriptive qualitative design was applied. The activity was conducted on 11 July 2026 at Hotel Enso, MM2100 Industrial Estate, Cibitung, Bekasi Regency. The author participated as an assessee in the Training and Human Resource Development Manager scheme. Data were obtained from participant observation, activity documentation, assessment schedules, portfolio preparation, professional clarification, assessor feedback, and reflective notes. The activity involved knowledge updating, evidence verification, clarification of professional experience, assessment against competency requirements, and reflection on further professional development. Based on the evidence and assessment process, assessor Dr. I Wayan G.S. Dewantara recommended the author as Competent. The recommendation was subsequently interpreted as a starting point for continuous professional learning rather than the completion of competency development. The activity generated reflective learning, teaching-case materials, academic dissemination, and opportunities for collaboration between higher education and professional certification institutions. Its community engagement value lies in transferring the lessons learned from individual competency assessment to academic and professional communities.]]>
