<![CDATA[Waste pollution is one of the environmental problems that continues to increase due to human activities and suboptimal waste management, with national data indicating that organic waste contributes around 12-12.6% of total national waste generation, while most waste in Sibolga City is still disposed of through open dumping, potentially degrading environmental quality and increasing health risks. This study aimed to analyze the determinants of waste pollution generated from student practicum activities in the Construction and Housing Engineering Department. A quantitative method with a descriptive analytic design and a cross-sectional approach was used, involving 58 students selected using the Slovin formula, with a structured questionnaire as the research instrument, analyzed using chi-square and logistic regression tests. The results showed significant relationships between practicum waste pollution and environment (p = 0.002), knowledge (p = 0.007), behavior (p = 0.003), and waste management (p = 0.016), while the health worker variable was not significant (p = 0.145). Multivariate logistic regression indicated that environment was the most dominant determinant, with Exp(B) = 7.073. It is concluded that environment, knowledge, behavior, and waste management significantly influence practicum waste pollution, whereas the role of health workers does not. Improvement of environmental conditions, student behavior, and a more active role of health workers during practicum are therefore recommended to prevent and reduce practicum waste pollution.]]>
