This study aims to analyze the representation of women, the forms of women’s economic struggles, as well as gender inequality and the position of working-class women in the poetry collection *Perempuan-Perempuan Perkasa* by Hartojo Andangdjaja, viewed from a Marxist feminist perspective. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, as it focuses on understanding the meaning within literary works. The data consist of 12 lines of poetry analyzed through intensive reading, note-taking, and contextual interpretation to uncover the social meanings contained within them. Twelve data points were identified, representing three aspects: the representation of women (4 data points), economic struggles (4 data points), and gender inequality (4 data points). The results of the study indicate that women are portrayed as an active and productive working class that sustains the economy. However, women remain in a subordinate position due to the patriarchal system and capitalism. Women’s economic struggles are depicted through hard work, high mobility, and involvement in the public sector. Furthermore, gender inequality is evident in the exploitation of labor and the double burden experienced by women. Thus, this poem not only showcases women’s resilience but also serves as a social critique of gender inequality in society.
