<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of string pull painting using tote bags on developing children’s creativity at Al-Azhar Ranah Kindergarten, IV Koto District, Agam. Based on initial observations, it was found that 8 out of 12 children had not yet demonstrated creativity, and stimulation was still limited to drawing and coloring activities. Most children tended to imitate the teacher's drawings or their peers' artwork and were unable to develop ideas, explore colors, or create shapes based on their imagination. Therefore, activities that provide opportunities for children to explore and sexpress their ideas are needed, one of which is string-pulling painting using tote bags. This study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 12 children from Class B (5–6 years old). Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed that the average creativity score increased from 9.67 in the pre-test to 12.75 in the post-test. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test yielded significance values of 0.386 for the pre-test and 0.134 for the post-test, indicating that the data were normally distributed. Furthermore, the Paired Samples T-Test resulted in a t-value of -9.172 with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted.
