Abstract

Dadapan Village, specifically Ngrancang Hamlet, is an agricultural area where most farm access roads lack adequate public street lighting. This condition hinders farmers' activities during the night and early morning such as irrigation, fertilization, and crop distribution and poses safety risks. This community service initiative aims to transfer solar-powered street lighting technology to the Ngudi Rahayu Farmer Group to enhance road safety and foster village energy self-sufficiency. The implementation process comprises five stages socialization, training, technology deployment, mentoring and evaluation, and program sustainability carried out collaboratively by lecturers, students, and farmer group members. The technology deployed involves installing two solar-powered street lighting units integrating monocrystalline solar panels, lithium batteries, LED lights, and automatic light sensors along a 300-meter stretch of farm access road. The results indicate that both units are successfully installed and fully functional, automatically illuminating for 10–12 hours without reliance on the national grid (PLN). The installation of these lights enhances safety and convenience for farmers, facilitates crop distribution, and improves the partners' understanding of renewable energy solutions that are self-sufficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly.
