This community service program focuses on the crucial issue of limited access to adequate education for children from migrant families in the Kampung Sawah area of Tanjung Priok. The goal is to open up access to education and a better life in order to optimize the potential of children who have been hampered by unequal learning opportunities. The implementation method applies a participatory, contextual, and sustainable community-based non-formal education assistance approach. The operational strategy includes regular tutoring twice a week, creativity development, and periodic medical services involving synergy between volunteer teachers, medical students, and donors. The results of the service show a significant positive impact, with a number of children successfully completing their education and obtaining stable jobs in the formal sector, including in state-owned enterprises. This achievement affirms that consistent educational accompaniment is a concrete expression of the Church’s mission through transformative diaconia, service that empowers and restores the dignity.
