Abstract

General Background: Religious values are integral to Islamic educational environments and professional conduct. Specific Background: SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Tulangan implements religious practices, Islamic culture, and social interactions to foster professional and moral development. Aims: This study explores the role of the religious environment in shaping teacher integrity and loyalty based on Imam Al-Ghazali’s perspective. Results: Religious practices support honesty, responsibility, discipline, and ethical commitment, although declining spiritual guidance and inconsistent participation have weakened these qualities in recent years. Novelty: The study integrates religious values, integrity, and loyalty through Al-Ghazali’s concept of tazkiyatun nafs. Implications: Sustained spiritual development, moral leadership, and supportive institutional systems are needed to strengthen professional commitment. Key Findings Highlights Religious practices support honesty, responsibility, and professional discipline. Reduced spiritual guidance contributes to declining commitment and participation.
