<![CDATA[Finland is listed as a safe and comfortable country to live in. Most Finns are Christians. However, Islam has its own space. Islam began to enter and write stories in Finland in the 19th century during the Russian invasion. The country with the best education system in the world is very tolerant in terms of religious freedom. Although Muslims there are not limited in their space for movement, their journey is not always beautiful. This article discusses the history of the entry and development of Islam in Finland, the life and challenges of Muslims as a minority and the contemporary situation in Finland. The method used is a literature review by analyzing data from various primary sources related to the history and development of Islam in Finland, whether in the form of books, scientific articles or from credible online news sites. Islam began to enter Finland in the 19th century during the Russian occupation. Russia brought in Tar-tar Muslim workers and soldiers from Türkiye. And from that moment on, Turkish Muslims settled and assimilated with the local people. However, the existence of Tatar Muslims at that time was exclusive and not open to other communities, so that Islam was not heard enough. It was the presence of Muslim immigrants in 1990 that made the development of Muslims in Finland increase and made the face of Islam more recognized, so that many native people were touched and embraced Islam. Through the freedom of religion law, all Finnish citizens are free to express their religious attitude. Evidenced by the many Muslim communities and mosques that stand in Finland. However, as a minority citizen and the spread of Islamophobia in Europe, some Muslims in Finland are not spared from acts of discrimination.]]>
