<![CDATA[This study aims to examine the role of self-directed learning as a key to adult self-directed learning in the digital age through a systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer. This study analyzed relevant scientific articles on the topics of self-directed learning, selfregulated learning, adults, and digital technology published in indexed scientific databases. Bibliometric analysis was conducted to map keyword linkage patterns, the development of research themes, and the density of dominant topics. The results of network, overlay, and density mapping indicate that self-directed learning is a central concept with a strong relationship to adult learning and technology utilization in the digital age. The findings also indicate a shift in the learning paradigm, where the role of educators has shifted from knowledge providers to facilitators supporting independent learning. Furthermore, the development of digital technology has been shown to strengthen adult learners' ability to manage their learning process autonomously and sustainably. Overall, the results of this systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis confirm that self-directed learning is a strategic element in supporting adult selfregulated learning in the digital age and provides theoretical and practical contributions to the development of adult education]]>
