<![CDATA[Islamic Religious Education at the junior high school level plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and understanding of Islamic teachings. However, the implementation of Islamic Religious Education in junior high schools often faces various problems. This study aims to identify problems that arise in the teaching of Islamic Religious Education in junior high schools, including factors that affect its effectiveness and solutions that can be applied to overcome them. This study uses a qualitative method with case studies in several junior high schools covering urban and rural areas. Data collection was conducted through interviews with Islamic Religious Education teachers, students, and school principals, as well as direct observation of the learning process. The results of the study show that the main challenges in Islamic Religious Education in junior high schools include a curriculum that is not relevant to the current era, as well as the influence of the social and cultural environment on students' interest and understanding of religious material. To improve learning effectiveness, it is necessary to update the curriculum to better suit the context and implement more innovative and engaging teaching methods. The implication is to overcome these challenges in order to create Islamic Religious Education that is more relevant, effective, and supports the overall character development of students.]]>
