<![CDATA[The era of digitalization increases the use of social media, one of which is Instagram social media. Through various features provided, Instagram can allow individuals to display the desired ideal body image, so that exposure to the ideal body can have an impact on the psychological condition of individuals, one of which is body dissatisfaction. This study aims to investigate the influence of self-criticism on the body dissatisfaction of women emerging adulthood Instagram users in DKI Jakarta. This research design uses a correlational quantitative design with sampling techniques in this study using a non-probability sampling method with a type of accidental sampling with a total of 390 participants. The study used two scales that have been adapted by researchers, the Body Dissatisfaction Scale for Women to measure body dissatisfaction and the Form of Self-Criticizing/Attacking & Self-Reassuring Scale to measure self-criticism. The data analysis technique in this study is simple linear regression. The results of this study show that the accepted hypothesis that self-criticism has a significant influence on the body dissatisfaction of women emerging adulthood Instagram users in DKI Jakarta (t = 19,165; p = 0,000 < 0,05; R2 = 0,486). In this case, self-criticism contributed to body dissatisfaction by 48.6%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the higher the self-criticism, the higher the body dissatisfaction in women in their emerging adulthood.]]>
