Boiler systems operate under high pressure and temperature, requiring reliable monitoring and alarm systems to maintain operational safety. At PT. PG. Rajawali I - PG. Krebet Baru I, the existing alarm system on the Yoshimine II boiler was limited to local notifications, which delayed operator response to abnormal operating conditions. This study aims to develop an instrumentation alarm system based on an Omron CJ2M Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), integrated with Delphi 7 monitoring software and Internet of Things (IoT)-based Telegram notifications, to improve operational safety. The research employed a research and development approach consisting of field observation, identification of critical boiler parameters, alarm logic design, and PLC programming, followed by monitoring interface development, Telegram integration, system testing, and evaluation. The developed system monitors critical parameters, including water level, steam level, de-superheater temperature, and flue gas conditions. The results indicate that the proposed system successfully provides real-time visual monitoring and automatic remote notifications whenever process parameters exceed predefined safety limits. The integration of PLC-based control with digital communication enhances operator responsiveness, supports preventive action, and reduces the risk of operational disturbances. The developed prototype demonstrates the feasibility of integrating industrial automation with digital notification technology to strengthen boiler monitoring and operational safety.
