The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of the demonstration method strategies in the Indonesian language teaching process, focusing on vocabulary material in the first grade at MIN 2 Palangka Raya. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects include first-grade teachers and students. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the demonstration strategy in teaching Indonesian vocabulary is effective in stimulating student engagement and understanding. Students appeared more enthusiastic about participating in learning sessions because the material was presented through direct demonstration, which facilitated understanding. Additionally, this strategy created a more lively and diverse learning atmosphere, making it easier for students to retain the vocabulary presented. Therefore, the demonstration strategy can serve as an effective solution to strengthen students’ vocabulary mastery in Indonesian language classes at the elementary education level.
