<![CDATA[This literature review aims to analyze the Qira’ah Basithah method, thematic picture media, and receptive skills of mahasantri in Arabic language learning. Literature searches were conducted on Google Scholar, Portal Garuda, and DOAJ focusing on journals published within the last five years, as well as relevant books. A total of 15 sources (10 recent journals and 5 relevant books/theses) meeting the criteria were analyzed descriptively-qualitatively. The results show that: (a) the Qira’ah Basithah method effectively improves reading comprehension through text gradation, schema activation, and scaffolding; (b) thematic picture media strengthens receptive skills through dual coding and language anxiety reduction; (c) determining factors of receptive skills include vocabulary mastery, schema, and learning interaction. This review recommends integrating both approaches in empirical research in Indonesian Ma’had ‘Aly. ]]>
