Gastritis is a digestive system disease. Gastritis occurs due to a lack of discipline in managing meal times, eating patterns, and the types of food consumed. This can cause gastritis, even to the point of experiencing gastric ulcers or bleeding in the stomach if chronic gastritis occurs. Therefore, it is very important to provide education through health counseling to transfer information about gastritis. Health literacy in adolescents at an early age will shape the character of knowledge in the future and can disseminate the information that has been obtained. The purpose of this community service is to provide health counseling about gastritis to students of SMPN 5 Masbagik. The method used in community service is leaflet media. To measure the level of knowledge of the students, the community service conducted a pre-test before the health counseling and a post-test after the health counseling. The results of the community service obtained the level of knowledge before being given health counseling about gastritis was mostly at the level of poor knowledge as many as 22 people (67%) and after the health counseling as many as 23 people (70%) with a good level of knowledge. It is hoped that junior high school students or teenagers will pay attention to their eating patterns, the types of food they consume, especially breakfast, and avoid types of food that can trigger an increase in stomach acid. If they experience gastritis, it will interfere with their concentration in studying.
