<![CDATA[This community service program was designed to enhance the practical skills and economic capacity of housewives in Gunung Tua Julu Village through the production of environmentally friendly herbal soap. The initiative was implemented by students of State Islamic University of North Sumatra as part of academic community engagement and social responsibility. The program combined structured training sessions, hands-on practice, and continuous mentoring to ensure participants fully understood the soap-making process. They were introduced to natural, safe, and locally sourced ingredients such as coconut oil, betel leaf extract, and aloe vera, which are beneficial for both skin health and environmental sustainability. In addition to strengthening technical production skills, the activity increased awareness of eco-friendly lifestyles and highlighted the potential for creative home-based businesses. The outcomes demonstrated that participants were able to independently produce high-quality herbal soap and showed strong motivation to market their products, supporting long-term economic independence and sustainable community development.]]>
