<![CDATA[Islamic education plays a strategic role in shaping students’ moral and spiritual character, particularly within Muslim-majority countries such as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This study aims to analyze the model of Islamic education implemented in Saudi Arabia and examine its relevance to character formation among students. Using a qualitative approach through library research, this article explores official educational policies, curriculum structures, and instructional practices related to Islamic education in Saudi Arabia. The findings indicate that the Saudi Islamic education model emphasizes the integration of aqidah, sharia, and akhlaq as core components of the curriculum, supported by systematic religious instruction from primary to higher education levels. Character values such as obedience, discipline, responsibility, and adherence to Islamic norms are internalized through both formal learning and institutional culture. This educational model reflects a strong alignment between religious values and national educational goals, positioning Islamic education as a central instrument in character development. The study also highlights that the Saudi experience offers relevant insights for Islamic education systems in other Muslim contexts, particularly in strengthening moral education and character building through value-based curricula. Therefore, the Islamic education model in Saudi Arabia demonstrates significant relevance in fostering students’ character in accordance with Islamic principles and contemporary educational needs.]]>
