The Al-Quran was revealed to mankind as a guidance, instruction, and advisor for humans in life on earth to get happiness in the world and hereafter. Islamic teachings are also referred from the hadiths that have been conveyed by Rasulullah SAW. Not infrequently the problems encountered due to non-compliance with Islamic teachings are related to the health of an individual, one of which is HIV/AIDS. This research method is of the literature study type, because researchers obtain data from library sources in the form of books, journals, articles, or other written works related to the role of Islamic teachings and thoughts on HIV/AIDS. HIV abbreviation for (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) attack the immune system in human. If not treated, HIV infection can develop into AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) where the immune system is severely compromised and the body becomes very vulnerable to various serious infections and diseases. HIV is transmitted primarily through contact with infected body fluids such as blood, semen, vaginal fluids, and breast milk. Adultery is a sin that is highly cursed by Allah SWT. And it can cause a person to get HIV/AIDS which is very fatal. The role of Islamic teachings and thoughts in prevention of HIV/AIDS can include education about the consequences of HIV/AIDS and knowledge of sex from an early age, guarding the sight, fasting, not engaging in seclusion (being alone with someone who is not a mahram), increasing repentance and worshiping Allah SWT, and getting married.
