The contemporary church faces various realities that demand greater inclusivity in its identity and practice. In response, the concept of hospitality emerges as a relevant theological approach to shape a welcoming and inclusive church. This study employs a qualitative method using literature review and contextual theology to examine how churches can embody the values of hospitality in their ministry amidst challenges, resistance, and diversity. The findings indicate that the theology of hospitality plays a vital role in creating spaces of encounter that are open to all, including strangers. A church that practices hospitality no longer perceives difference as a threat but as a meaningful opportunity for faith development and witness. Michele Hershberger’s perspective on hospitality offers valuable insights for guiding today’s church toward radical acceptance and inclusivity, emphasizing the transformative role of welcoming the other in shaping a more faithful and relevant ecclesial identity.
