Madrasah Aliyah honorary teachers have a strategic role in the implementation of secondary level Islamic education, but the economic welfare of honorary teachers is still a serious problem, especially related to the salary policy that is not yet uniform and not oriented to the standard of living needs. This study aims to analyze the salary policy of Madrasah Aliyah honorary teachers and its influence on the level of economic welfare of madrasah teachers in Garut Regency. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a simple linear regression analysis method. Primary data was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to 94 honorary teachers of Madrasah Aliyah who were selected using a simple random sampling technique from a population of 1,511 teachers. Secondary data was obtained from interviews and official documents of related agencies. The results of the study show that the salary policy of honorary teachers has a positive and significant effect on the level of economic welfare of madrasah teachers. These findings indicate that payroll policies have an important role in determining the ability of honorary teachers to meet their living needs and maintain economic stability. This study concludes that the improvement of the salary policy of honorary teachers is a strategic factor in improving the economic welfare of Madrasah Aliyah teachers, and is expected to be a consideration for the government and madrasah managers in formulating a fairer and more sustainable salary policy.
