The research was conducted at a PET plastic recycling manufacturing company, specifically focusing on the Horizontal Dryer unit which frequently experiences operational failures. The primary issue lies in a high breakdown frequency of 11 occurrences, with downtime durations reaching up to 480 minutes due to material overload conditions that trigger motor current surges during the period of July 2025 to April 2026. This study aims to evaluate the machine's failure characteristics by integrating Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and Weibull Distribution methods. The calculation results show an average OEE value of 79.89%, where performance efficiency is identified as the main factor for low productivity. Based on the FMECA analysis, the blade component within the main shaft system was identified as the most critical component with the highest risk priority number of 405. Through Weibull statistical modeling, it was found that the failure rate characteristics of this critical component are in the wear-out phase. These findings provide a scientific basis for the company to establish maintenance priorities to minimize the risk of recurring failures in the future.
