This study analyzed changes in learning outcomes in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) after students received instruction using Microsoft PowerPoint 2010-based learning media. A quantitative One-Group Pretest-Posttest design was employed involving 20 eleventh-grade students in the Welding Engineering program at SMK Walisongo, Semarang. Knowledge mastery was measured using 25 multiple-choice items with a maximum score of 25. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk test, Paired Sample t-test, Cohen's dz, and N-Gain. The mean learning outcome increased from 16.95 (SD = 4.96) on the pre-test to 22.50 (SD = 2.46) on the post-test. The Paired Sample t-test yielded t(19) = 5.095 with p < 0.001. Since the significance value was lower than 0.05, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, indicating a significant difference between the mean pre-test and post-test scores. The mean difference was 5.55 points with a Cohen's dz of 1.14 which is in the large category, while the N-Gain of 0.689 was classified as moderate. These findings indicate that
