The rapid development of digital technology has significantly affected the mental health of students in Indonesia. This study examines the role of guidance and counselling services in supporting student mental health in the digital era through a narrative literature review informed by the PRISMA 2020 reporting approach (Page et al., 2021). Sources were drawn from peer-reviewed international and national journals published between 2019–2022, focusing on school-based mental health, adolescent well-being, digital literacy interventions, and Islamic perspectives on mental health. Synthesis results indicate that guidance and counselling services play a meaningful role in supporting students' psychological well-being, that relationships with teachers and counselors at school are associated with better mental health outcomes, and that school-based mental health literacy programs can help students cope with digital-era stressors. In the Islamic education management perspective, guidance and counselling services can be strengthened by Islamic spiritual values and practices.
