This research aims to: 1) determine the level of science learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 23 Bulukumba after being taught using virtual laboratory media 2) determine the improvement in science learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 23 Bulukumba who were taught using virtual laboratory media. 3) find out the science learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 23 Bulukumba after being taught using virtual laboratory media were higher than before being taught using virtual laboratory media. This research is a pre-experiment with One Group Pre-test Posttest Design. The population was all class VIII students at SMPN 23 Bulukumba, the sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique so that 1 class was selected with a total of 38 students. The instruments in this research were pretest and posttest in the form of multiple choice questions. Data analysis techniques are descriptive and inferential. The research results found: (1) The learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMPN 23 Bulukumba before using PhET-based computer simulation learning media had an average overall score of 20.79, which is in the very low category, (2) The learning results of class VIII students SMPN 23 Bulukukmba after using PhET-based computer simulation learning media had an average overall score of 71.84, which is in the high category (3). There were differences in learning outcomes before and after using PhET-based computer simulation learning media.
