Abstract

The target partners in the Public Partnership Program (PKM) of Jusinta Tape Fermentation technology are students at the XII grade SMA Yatama Mandiri Islamic Boarding School, Gowa Regency. The location of the Islamic boarding school is in the area of Pallangga Subdistrict, Gowa Regency, which has the first highest cassava production and second highest sweet potatoes production land in South Sulawesi.. The implementation of activities is supported by the field of expertise of the implementing team related to the results of research in the form of a tape product called "Tape Jusinta" (Muhiddin, et al., 2018). This tape is made through the fermentation process of a mixture of purple sweet potato tubers and cassava roots using a local ragi tape starter. The process of making tape from purple sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) and cassava roots (Manihot esculenta Crantz) with a local ragi tape starter, has received patent certificate in January 2020. Another thing that supports the potential of students who really need knowledge development and skills to grow economically productive businesses with Islamic boarding schools located in sweet potato and cassava production centers. The output target that is expected to be achieved in this PKM activity is that students have the knowledge and skills in producing Jusinta Tape through fermentation technology. The results of the activity are expected to be developed into a learning tool for biotechnology materials. The methods used are: lectures, demonstrations, discussions, practice and mentoring. The instruments used to determine the participants' responses to the Tape Jusinta fermentation technology training were questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The results achieved were that the participants could easily understand the processing of purple sweet potato and cassava roots into Tape Jusinta through fermentation technology. As many as 60% of the participants from the teacher group answered that the Tape Jusinta fermentation technology was in accordance with the students' abilities and was suitable to be applied in biotechnology learning. The organoleptic test results show that the Tape Jusinta product has a light purple color with an average of 4.4, the aroma of alcohol is less sharp with an average of 4.2, a soft texture with an average of 8.6, a slightly sour taste with an average of 4.4, the taste is quite sweet on average  6.5, and product palatability by the society is well received with an average of 8.9.

Abstract

 Abstrak. Mitra Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah guru-guru di Pesantren Putri Yatama Mandiri kabupaten Gowa. Permasalahannya adalah: (1) kurangnya pengetahuan tentang pendekatan TPACK dalam pembelajaran, (2) kurang keterampilan membuat media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah: ceramah, demonstrasi, diskusi, tanya jawab, dan pendampingan mitra. Abstract

This study aims to describe how big the science process skills of students in class VIII SMPN Makassar city. This research is descriptive correlative with a population of all students of class VIII SMPN Makassar which amounted to 4178 students while the sample amounted to 364 students. The instrument used is a test of science process skills on the material of the human respiratory system in the form of multiple choice. The data collection technique is giving tests to students via google form on even semester VIII class material. The results obtained are the scientific process skills of students in class VIII SMPN Makassar in the human respiratory system material are in the low category.Keywords: science process skillAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan seberapa besar keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN sekota Makassar. Penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelatif dengan populasi seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN sekota Makassar yang berjumlah 4178 peserta didik sedangkan sampel berjumlah 364 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes keterampilan proses sains pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia dalam bentuk pilihan ganda. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu pemberian tes kepada peserta didik melalui google form pada materi kelas VIII semester genap. Abstract

This study is a quantitative descriptive survey research that aims to describe the level of scientific literacy skills of ninth-grade of secondary school students’ in Angkona sub-district accredicted A and B for 2021/2022 academic year in terms of context, knowledge, and scientific competence on human excretory system topics. Population of this study were all ninth grade of secondary school students accredicted A and B throughout in Angkona sub-district with 252 students, namely SMPN A which was accredicted A; and SMPN B, C, and D were accredicted B. Samples were selected using saturated sample technique so that the samples in this research were 252 students. The instrument of this research was 20 multiple choice questions on human excretory system topics. The data collection technique was by giving tests directly at school and/or giving online test for students who did not come to school via Google Form and/or WhatsApp. The data were analyzed using analysis of quantitative descriptive. The results obtained are the scientific literacy skills of ninth-grade of secondary school students in Angkona sub-district: (1) in the context of science is in “medium”, (2) knowledge of science is in the “medium”, and (3) competence of science is in the “low” category.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujan untuk menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran Zat dan Energi berbasis Miniature Project yang valid, reliabel, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research. and Development dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi langsung, lembar penilaian validasi produk, instrument test penilaian keterampilan berpikir kreatif untuk melihat keefektifan produk, dan lembar penilaian kepraktisan produk. Subyek penelitian merupakan seluruh mahasiswa pada Program Studi Pendidikan IPA FMIPA UNM yang mengikuti perkuliahan Zat dan Energi pada Semester Genap Tahun Akademik 2021/2022. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji validitas dan reabilitas, kepraktisan dan keefektifan. Selanjutnya hasil penelitian diperoleh: (1) pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis Miniature Project dapat dikatakan sangat valid dengan skor rata-rata penilaian 3,41, (2) pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis Miniature Project dapat dikatakan reliabel dengan percentage of agreement (R) di atas 75% atau 0,75, (3) keefektifan pengembangan media pembelajaran Zat dan Energi berbasis Miniature Project ditinjau dari nilai aktivitas keterampilan berpikir kreatif mendapat rata-rata 3,25 dengan kategori sangat efektif, (4) kepraktisan pengembangan media pembelajaran Zat dan Energi berbasis Miniature Project dapat dikatakan sangat praktis dengan rata-rata 4,3.  Kata Kunci: Miniature Project, Keterampilan Berfikir Kreatif

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA di SMPN 1 Tinambung semenjak pandemi Covid-19 sampai semester ganjil 2022 belum pernah memanfaatkan KIT IPA dalam mengajarkan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) kepada peserta didik. Kondisi ini yang mendasari tim pengabdi dalam membantu guru mata pelajaran IPA di sekolah tersebut untuk menyiapkan peserta didik yang terampil dan dapat diberdayakan sebagai tutor sebaya bagi peserta didik yang lain dalam kegiatan praktikum IPA. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut adalah metode demonstrasi dan latihan mandiri. Peserta didik yang mengikuti kegiatan ini sebanyak 6 orang dengan kegiatan praktikum sebanyak 4 unit percobaan, yaitu: gerak lurus berubah beraturan; kesetimbangan momen gaya; tekanan hidrostatis dan hukum pembiasan cahaya. Hasil observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik belum mengenal alat-alat praktikum, dan tidak mampu merangkai alat dan bahan untuk melakukan kegiatan praktikum IPA pada unit tersebut. Melalui kegiatan demonstrasi dan Latihan mandiri, peserta didik mampu: 1) merangkai alat dan bahan untuk kegiatan praktikum; 2) melakukan pengamatan dengan benar; 3) menyimpulkan hasil percobaan berdasarkan data hasil pengamatan dengan benar. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa mitra terampil melakukan kegiatan praktikum IPA fisika pada 4 unit percobaan.

Abstract

OSN problem is a problem that has a fairly high level of difficulty. OSN problem solving training aims to provide training to OSN guidance teachers and students who want to improve their ability to solve OSN problems. This training was held for two days. On the first day, the service team explained the characteristics of OSN questions and participants were asked to answer practice questions to measure the participants initial abilities, then continued the discussion. The second day the participants did a simulation and continued the discussion. The simulation is aimed at measuring the final ability of participants after training. From the results of the exercises and simulations, it is known that the OSN problem solving training was successful because the number of problems that could be solved by the participants increased. In addition, it was also obtained that the problem material that can be solved by participants is more diverse at the time of simulation than at the time of exercise. This means that participants, especially students who are appointed to represent schools in the OSK 2023 event, are better prepared than before the training.

Abstract

The spread of hoaxes in Indonesia is a serious problem. According to survey data conducted by the Katadata Insight Center and Kominfo in 2021, it shows that the elderly group aged 55-70 years is only 3.6 percent of internet users. Meanwhile, the millennial generation (23-38 years) is 43.8%, generation Z (13-22 years) is 28.6% and generation X (39-54 years) is 23.9%. The problem in society today is the lack of ability to digest correct information. So the government needs to provide teaching or literacy in fact-checking materials and media literacy. This is related to the many hoaxes, fake news and slander that are circulating in society. Therefore, the Tular Reasoning Activity was held as a form of initial prevention for the people of Majene Regency in facing the 2024 ELECTION, especially for the elderly and also the younger generation so that they know how to distinguish between facts and hoaxes circulating through their gadgets and digital devices. Through learning materials from media and digital literacy facilitators, the community will come together to find out the truth of news, be responsive in seeing the truth, and be tough in fighting hoaxes.
