<![CDATA[This study aims to improve English vocabulary skills related to the topic of “public places” through the use of flash cards based on contextual learning among students with learning disabilities in the 7th grade at SMP Negeri 1 Mentarang Hulu. The study employed the Classroom Action Research method, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle included the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The study involved 10 students. Data were collected through observation and vocabulary tests, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that the use of context-based flashcards improved the students’ English vocabulary skills. The percentage of students meeting learning standards increased from 30% in the pre-intervention phase to 40% in Cycle I and reached 90% in Cycle II. The implementation of this intervention also increased student engagement in the learning process. Flashcards helped students connect images with vocabulary words and their meanings, while contextual learning helped students understand the use of vocabulary through situations relevant to their daily lives. Thus, flashcards based on contextual learning can serve as an alternative instructional strategy to improve the English vocabulary skills of students with learning disabilities in an inclusive junior high school.]]>
