Saputri, Maya. 2026. Implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Model Assisted by Card Sort Media to Enhance the Learning Engagement of Grade IV Students in the IPAS Subject at SDN 32/II Muara Bungo. Undergraduate Thesis. Bungo: Universitas Muhammadiyah Muara Bungo. This research was motivated by the low level of students’ learning activeness in IPAS learning in Grade V at SDN 32/II Muara Bungo. This study aimed to improve students’ learning activeness through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Card Sort media. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. The research subjects were 24 Grade V students. Data were collected through teacher activity observation sheets and student learning activeness observation sheets. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis. The results showed an improvement in teacher activity from 64% in the first meeting of Cycle I to 76% in the second meeting, then increased to 84% in the first meeting of Cycle II and 92% in the second meeting. Students’ learning activeness also increased, as indicated by the proportion of students categorized as Active and Very Active, from 45.83% in Cycle I to 83.30% in Cycle II. Thus, the achievement exceeded the predetermined success criterion of 80%. The results indicate that the implementation of the PBL model assisted by Card Sort media can improve students’ learning activeness in IPAS learning.
