This study aims to determine the effect of income and lifestyle on family financial planning in Bukit Kalimau Ulu Village, Batang Asai District. This research used a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey method. The population consisted of 254 household heads, with a sample of 72 families determined using the Slovin formula and simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using validity test, reliability test, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The results show that, partially, income has a positive and significant effect on family financial planning, while lifestyle does not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, income and lifestyle have a positive and significant effect on family financial planning. The coefficient of determination indicates that income and lifestyle explain 39.2% of the variation in family financial planning, while the remaining 60.8% is influenced by other factors outside this study. Thus, income is the dominant factor in family financial planning, while lifestyle is not yet a determinant factor in the context of Bukit Kalimau Ulu Village society.
