Numeracy literacy is an essential competency that enables students to understand and apply mathematical concepts in various contexts. This study aimed to examine the effect of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model assisted by digital educational games on the numeracy literacy of second-grade elementary school students. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The participants consisted of 90 students, with 45 students in the experimental group and 45 students in the control group. Data were collected through pretests and posttests and analyzed using descriptive statistics, N-Gain analysis, normality and homogeneity tests, and the Mann–Whitney U test. The results showed that the experimental group’s mean score increased from 31.69 to 40.31, while the control group increased from 27.11 to 32.84. The experimental group obtained a mean N-Gain of 0.4435, categorized as moderate, while the control group obtained 0.2444, categorized as low. The Mann–Whitney U test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference in numeracy literacy improvement between the two groups. Therefore, the NHT cooperative learning model assisted by digital educational games significantly improved students’ numeracy literacy.
