This study aims to reconstruct the meaning of the Sapa Salah Seleh philosophy in shaping civic spirituality in society through a hermeneutic perspective. This philosophy represents the moral value that every mistake will be revealed in one's life, thus emphasizing the importance of honesty as part of individual integrity. In the Javanese cultural context, this value is reinforced by social norms that impose sanctions in the form of acceptance or rejection from society. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and methods, while data analysis employed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the Sapa Salah Seleh philosophy has significant significance in shaping civic spirituality in society, as reflected in: (1) the relevance of moral values as a foundation for developing civic attitudes with integrity; and (2) its philosophical function as an ethical guide that integrates the dimensions of religiosity and character in social life. Thus, reconstructing the meaning of this philosophy through a hermeneutic approach strengthens the role of local wisdom in developing civic spirituality in society.
