Household organic waste management remains an environmental challenge in Tanjung Lapang Village, Malinau Regency. This community service activity aimed to strengthen community ecological literacy through the SI COMPOSS (Smart Composting System) Program using a tiered-bucket composting system. The methods employed included community education, training, science and technology diffusion, and mentoring. The activities were implemented through environmental clean-up actions, ecological literacy education, compost-making training, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The target participants were residents of RT 13, Tanjung Lapang Village, involving community leaders, residents, and students of Community Service Program (KKN) Group 23 from Universitas Borneo Tarakan. The results demonstrated improved community understanding and skills in managing household organic waste into solid compost and liquid organic fertilizer. The introduced tiered-bucket composting system proved to be easy to implement, economical, and appropriate to the local community's conditions. In addition to providing an appropriate technological solution, the program encouraged greater environmental awareness and ecological behavior among community members through more responsible waste management practices. The SI COMPOSS Program has the potential to serve as an ecological literacy-based community empowerment model to support sustainable environmental management at the village level
