Household waste management is a crucial component of implementing Community-Led Total Sanitation (STBM). In Bale Village, the sorting and utilization of organic waste have not yet been carried out optimally. This community service activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of sanitation cadres and community members regarding organic waste management through composting. The activity was conducted on April 16, 2026, in Bale Village, Donggala Regency, involving 15 participants. The implementation method comprised registration, a pre-test, interactive education, discussion, hands-on composting practice, a post-test, and the formulation of a follow-up plan. The results showed that the average knowledge score rose from 54.7 in the pre-test to 85.0 in the post-test, an increase of 30.3 points. The distribution of knowledge categories also shifted: prior to the training, 66.7% of participants fell into the "poor" category and 33.3% into the "fair" category, whereas after the training, 93.3% were in the "good" category and 6.7% in the "fair" category. The practical session provided participants with the opportunity to directly apply the steps of processing organic waste into compost. These findings indicate that a combination of interactive education and hands-on practice can effectively improve participant understanding. Periodic guidance and monitoring remain necessary to ensure the sustainability of composting practices at the household level.
