Manual quail feeding is prone to delays, inconsistent portions, and feed waste due to limited labor and difficulty monitoring multi-tier cages. This study designs and tests an automatic quail feeding monitoring and control system based on an ESP32 microcontroller equipped with real-time notifications via a Telegram bot. The system consists of a stirring dynamo, servo-operated feed valve, conveyor, water pump, and HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor for feed detection, operable both on a schedule (05:00 and 17:00) and manually via Telegram commands. An experimental method was used to test sensor accuracy, conveyor speed, feed/water dosing precision, and notification response. Results show the ultrasonic sensor achieved 100% success in classifying feed availability status, despite an average distance-reading error of 17.25% caused by the crumble texture of the feed. The conveyor operated with 0% speed error, while the feeding and watering mechanisms showed average over-feeding of 8.75% for feed and 10% for water due to motor inertia and gravitational free-fall. Telegram bot integration proved reliable for sending notifications and receiving control commands. The system is more efficient than manual methods in terms of time, labor, and remote monitoring, making it suitable for small- to medium-scale quail farms.
