Leadership is an essential factor in determining the success of educational organizations in achieving their goals. Educational leaders play a significant role in directing, influencing, and motivating all organizational members to work effectively and efficiently. This paper aims to examine the concept of classical leadership theory in educational organizations, including the definition of leadership, the concept of classical leadership theory, its main types, as well as its strengths and weaknesses. The study employs a library research method by reviewing various relevant literature sources. The findings indicate that classical leadership theory consists of Trait Theory, Behavioral Theory, and leadership styles such as autocratic, democratic, and laissez-faire leadership. These theories provide a fundamental understanding of the characteristics, behaviors, and leadership styles that influence leadership effectiveness. Although classical leadership theory offers advantages in terms of simplicity and practical application, it also has limitations due to its lack of attention to situational factors and the dynamics of modern organizations. Therefore, classical leadership theory remains relevant as a foundation for understanding leadership, but it should be integrated with more contextual leadership approaches to meet the demands of contemporary educational organizations
