Career planning is an important developmental task for senior high school students in determining their future educational and occupational choices. However, many students still experience confusion in recognizing their interests, talents, and potential, which leads to difficulties in making career decisions. One approach that can be applied in guidance and counseling services to assist students in planning their careers is John Holland's Theory. This article aims to examine the implementation of John Holland's Theory in guidance and counseling services to support career planning among senior high school students. This study employed a literature review method by examining various relevant scientific articles, books, and research findings. The results of the review indicate that John Holland's Theory, through its six personality and work environment types Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional (RIASEC) can help students understand their personal characteristics, identify career interests, explore educational and occupational alternatives, and improve their career decision-making abilities. The implementation of this theory in guidance and counseling services also contributes to enhancing students' career maturity. Therefore, John Holland's Theory can serve as an effective conceptual foundation for supporting senior high school students' career planning through guidance and counseling services.
