This study examines the influence of career development (CD), training and development (TND), and leader tolerance (LTo) on employee engagement (EE), with perceived organizational support (POS) serving as a mediating factor. A quantitative approach was employed involving 208 nurses in public sector type B hospitals in Tangerang. Data were derived from five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and examined using structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings indicate that CD and TND exert positive significant effects on EE, whereas LTo demonstrates a positive but non-significant effect. CD exhibits a negative and non-significant effect on POS, while TND and LTo have positive and significant effects. Moreover, POS positively significant affects EE and serves as a partial mediator in the relationship between TND and EE. The findings underscore the significance of organizational support in fostering nurses’ engagement in public sector hospitals.
