mathematics learning among fourth-grade students at SD 01 Anjani. This situation is evident in the lack of enthusiasm during learning activities, low student engagement during the learning process, and the emergence of the perception that mathematics is a difficult and uninteresting subject. This low interest in learning is influenced by various factors, both internal and external to the students, which affect student engagement in class. This research aims to identify factors contributing to low interest in mathematics learning and to examine the various efforts teachers make to increase student interest. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research subjects included fourth-grade students, class teachers, and the principal. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Subsequently, the data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the research results, it was discovered that low interest in mathematics learning is influenced by several factors, including low student motivation, lack of self-confidence, insufficiently varied learning methods, the use of learning media that is not able to attract students' attention, and an unsupportive learning environment. To address these issues, teachers are taking various measures, such as using more engaging learning media, providing encouragement and motivation to students, and implementing interactive and enjoyable learning to encourage students to be more active in math lessons.
