The low productivity and production efficiency of Etawa Crossbreed (PE) and Kacang goats in smallholder farming systems within Central Lombok Regency are primarily attributed to traditional rearing practices and the absence of a structured recording system. This community service initiative aims to provide education and technical assistance on optimizing livestock productivity through simple selection and recording methods for the Trasne Putra Lombok Farmer Group in West Aik Mual Hamlet, Central Lombok Regency. The methodology encompassed surveys, observations, interviews, instructional presentations, and interactive discussions involving 30 farmers. The results demonstrated a positive response and active participation from the farmers, indicated by a 90% attendance rate and an 85% engagement rate during discussions and practical sessions. Educational interventions regarding the evaluation of qualitative and quantitative traits (e.g., body weight and morphometric dimensions), along with the implementation of livestock record cards, successfully enhanced the farmers' knowledge and practical skills. The application of simple, field-adaptive selection and recording mechanisms proved to be an effective preliminary approach for modernizing smallholder livestock management, ultimately supporting breeding programs, reproductive efficiency, and the overall sustainability of local goat enterprises.
