Parental upbringing plays a crucial role in supporting children’s academic success, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the elementary level. This study aims to examine the effect of parenting styles on the academic achievement of third-grade students in PAI subjects at SD Islam Darurrahim, East Jakarta. A quantitative approach with simple linear regression was used, involving 60 students as respondents. The results showed that the majority of parents applied parenting styles categorized as moderate (53%) and high (27%), while 62% of students had moderate academic achievement. The regression analysis indicated a positive and significant effect of parenting style on academic achievement, with a significance value of 0.044 and an R Square of 6.8%. This suggests that parenting styles contribute 6.8% to students’ academic performance, while the remaining influence comes from other external factors. It can be concluded that parenting style significantly affects students’ academic outcomes and contributes to the development of religious character, motivation, and a conducive home learning environment.
