Asphalt is a primary material used in the construction of highways, a black hydrocarbon. This research examines a comparative analysis of asphalt content between that determined in the Job Mix Formula (JMF) and that found in the field. The study employs descriptive statistics to compare the extracted asphalt content of AC-WC asphalt mixtures between the JMF and field results. Asphalt extraction testing was conducted using Pertalite as a solvent. This research focuses on the comparison of asphalt content during paving, with the tolerance set forth in the 2018 Directorate General of Highways General Specifications, which is ± 0.3%. Field extraction results show an average asphalt content of the samples at 6.03%, higher than the JMF value of 5.95%, but still within the permissible tolerance. Equipment calibration errors at the AMP also contribute to the difference in asphalt content, resulting in a softer mixture and reducing road life. Nevertheless, the results are still within the allowed tolerance.
