Evaluating the impacts of fishing gear operations should address several key issues, such as environmental impacts, effects on resource abundance, fishing gear utilization, and impacts on target fish resources. Assessing the environmental friendliness of fishing gear is an important approach in sustainable fisheries management. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the environmental friendliness level of Purse Seine fishing gear used at PT. Era Samudera Jaya. This objective can be achieved through proper management practices to ensure the sustainability of fishery resources. This study aims to describe the technical specifications of Purse Seine fishing gear landed at PT. Era Samudera Jaya and to determine the environmental friendliness level of Purse Seine fishing gear landed at PT. Era Samudera Jaya based on the FAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (FAO-CCRF).
