An understanding of mathematical concepts is a crucial competency for Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students—as prospective teachers—to teach mathematical concepts meaningfully. One fundamental concept that must be mastered is measurement, which encompasses an understanding of units, measuring instruments, and their application in various contexts. This study aims to analyze the level of understanding regarding measurement concepts among the 2024 cohort of PGSD students at the University of Riau. The study employs a quantitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected via a questionnaire administered to 40 students from the 2024 cohort and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The research results indicate that the majority of students possess a good understanding of measurement concepts. Based on the analysis of 25 statement items, the average positive response was 95.1% and the negative response was 4.9%, placing the results in the "very good" category. These findings demonstrate that the students have a solid grasp of fundamental measurement concepts, units, measuring instruments, and the application of measurement concepts in daily life. These results can serve as a basis for consideration in developing mathematics instruction for prospective elementary school teachers.
